The chameleon is a nac of the family of lizards, it is a reptile. It can be found in different continents, in Africa in Asia but also in Madagascar. The chameleon does not support group life it is a solitary animal except during the mating period.

It feeds on different insects such as spiders, locusts and grasshoppers, making it an insectivorous animal. His tongue is a secretly hidden weapon that allows him to catch prey with great speed and with the effect of surprise.

The language of the chameleon is slimy which allows him to fix the prey and bring them back without having to make the slightest movement with his body.

It has very short legs with claws. They allow him to climb trees with ease. His eyes are bulky and they have the distinction of being independent. This is a great advantage over his prey, because he can concentrate on a predator and his prey with the other eye. The chameleon moults regularly to get rid of its skin, which traps it from its scales.

He has the capacity to confuse it with his natural environment thanks to the melanin contained in his system, he can thus camouflage by changing at any time the color of his skin according to that of the vegetation. On the other hand this asset disappears once the night falls, when it falls asleep its skin palie to the point of becoming almost white.

The female can lay between 20 and 30 eggs, it is an oviparous animal. But some species keep the eggs until they hatch. The chameleon has a very short life expectancy. His cock is indispensable to him is a full member, since his tail is prehensile (she can grab any type of objects). Although the chameleon is extremely slow, its tongue can be projected at speeds up to 5 m / sec.
