Tareq
was born in Amman
in 1962 into a successful
Jordanian family.
His father worked as a civil servant
and his mother, who had once been a teacher, was a hardworking housewife. His
brother Hani was very bright and, after finishing university, went on to
become a civil engineer.
ولد طارق في عمان عام 1963 من عائلة اردنية ناجحة عمل
والده وظفا وكانت والدته معلمة وربة بيت ممتازة وشقيقه هاني كان ذكيا وبعد تخرجه
من الجامعة اصبح مهندسا مدنيا.
Tareq was good with his hands and so,
instead of going to university, took a course in woodwork and became a
carpenter. He loved Jordanian folk music and, in his spare time,
made musical instruments, finally crafting instruments such as ouds.
كان
طارق بارعا في يديه لذلك وبدلا ان يذهب الى الجامعة التحق في دورة ( حرف خشبية)
واصبح نجار. احب طارق الموسيقى التراثية وكان في وقت فراغه يصنع الالات الموسيقية
بحرفية وبشكل جيد مثل العود.
One day, one of his friends saw an oud he had
made and asked him to make one for him too. This was the
beginning of Tareq's career as an instrument maker and soon he was able to give
up making furniture and make instruments instead. With the money
he made he was able to get married and start a family, buying his own
villa outside Amman.

يوم لقد راى احد اصدقاء طارق العود الذي صنعة وطلب منه ان يصنع له واحدا ايضا ولقد
كانت هذه بداية مهنة طارق كصانع الات موسيقية وقد توقف عن صناعة الاثاث وبدا يصنع
الالات الموسيقية و بالمال الذي امتلكه كان قادرا ان يتزوج ويؤسس اسرة ويشتري شقة
له خارج عمان .
His instruments have become famous across Jordan and the Middle East,
and there is now a great demand for these instruments. One of Tareq's sons,
Mahmoud, has decided to follow his father into the business and so Tareq is
teaching him how to make the oud.
ان
الات طارق اصبحت مشهورة في الاردن والشرق الاوسط واصبح طلب متزايد عليها. احد ابناء طارق محمود قرر ان يتبع والده في
العمل لذلك بدا طارق يعلم ابنه صناعة العود.
