significance of the agricultural sector for the Palestinian economy

The significance of the agricultural sector for the Palestinian economy is not represents a certain percentage of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) , but the amount of  its contribution in meeting the food needs of the Palestinian people, its contribution to cover the balance of payments, and more importantly, this and that relates to land and water, the essence of Israeli- Palestinian conflict.

 So we have been researching the importance of the Palestinian agricultural sector through three sections:-

Section I : talking about the reality of agriculture data in (Palestinian National Authority, as well as the search for agricultural areas and livestock numbers in Palestine, and the end of the topic was to talk about Palestinian water resources.

Section II : it talks about the economic importance of the Palestinian agricultural sector and it has been showing interest in the role of the Palestinian agricultural sector, and has been to clarify the role of the agricultural sector and its relationship to the national economy, and in the end of the section were addressed to the difficulties and obstacles faced by the agricultural sector .

Section III : The address to the Palestinian agricultural development plan, and it has been addressed of how the exploitation of natural resources and policy, and then touched the policies necessary for the growth and development and protection of the agricultural sector, and in the end of the section was to clarify the objectives of agricultural development plan .

In spite of that the farms is characterized small in Palestine, which constitutes an obstacle to the development of land productivity and the introduction of modern technologies in agriculture as well as rising production costs as a result. Also affect the application of some programs reclamation land, and agriculture is a rural Palestinian family business, based on the principle of individual exploitation of the land. And the Palestinian territories suffer from scarcity of water available for agriculture. vibration and rates of rainfall are low, and the Israelis still control the groundwater and springs, but at the end of this research has been addressing the problems and constraints and developed recommendations and solutions to the interest of the Palestinian agricultural sector .
