MEDIU’s vision and mission
Provide
the justification for the proposed programme. How does this programme fulfil
the market needs and contribute to the social and national development? How
does this programme relate to other programmes offered by the department?
The science of
Interpretation and al-Qur`an sciences are considered the methodological and
intellectual bases of all the Islamic sciences, they are not concerned with a
certain aspect of life, but they cover all aspects. Although these sciences
focus mainly to get the meaning of the al-Qur`an and what it gush from the
al-Qur`an of the various sciences since dismounted to all ummah. These sciences
such as analytic interpretation, topical interpretation, sources of the
al-Qur`an interpretation, fundamentals of al-Qur`an interpretation. These
sciences serve a large segment of society at various levels of students,
scholars, preachers, they need all these sciences very much. Because these
sciences can help them in contribution to welcome the needs of the country in
terms of preparing of scholars specializing in this discipline and to care for
community. And can help them to develop the spirit of scientific research and
intellectual independence. And also can help to develop sense of belonging to
the country and sense of responsibility.
As a result of
this development, the Islamic library of al-Qur`an and Its Sciences became
abundant with many references, books and researches, which require a great
effort that first caters for accommodating this great al-Qur`an and Its
Sciences heritage, saving and restoring it when the need arises. Given that,
the huge facilities provided by the scientific revolution in the fields of
contemporary sciences and modern technology will much help the scholars of
al-Qur`an and Its Sciences in shouldering this great responsibility and carrying out their duties.
Accordingly,
Al Madinah International University took the initiative to facilitate a deep
methodological study of the fundamentals of al-Qur`an and Its Sciences and
other related areas. In order to do that, Al Madinah International University
did not only found the al-Qur`an and Its Sciences Department, Faculty of
Islamic Sciences, which offers "al-Qur`an and Its Sciences and Islamic
program," but it also established the master program of Tafsir and
al-Qur`an Sciences, offered by The Faculty of Post Graduate Studies. By making use of the scientific and technical
progress witnessed in this era, the Faculty of post graduate studies made it
easy, for those who finished their degree in al-Qur`an and Its Sciences and
wanted to continue their post graduate studies, to promote themselves and get
deeper knowledge in Sharia sciences through the application of the scientific
and technical development witnessed by humanity in this age,
There is no
doubt that choosing Malaysia to be the springboard for Al Madina International
University and its faculties with their various programs, much reflect the
uniqueness of this Muslim country in terms of its cultural diversity and its
interaction with the modern civilization. Being conducted in Malaysia, the
master program in Tafsir and al-Qur`an Sciences gives more transparency and
validity that are enough to address all human beings, calling them to Islam, by
setting a practical comprehensive model that makes use of the technical and
scientific account of knowledge obtained in this era.
