High place of tourism in Egypt, Luxor is known for its temple and its grandiose architecture and well preserved. There are three sites to visit: the city of Luxor, the necropolis of the ancient city of Thebes (called in its time "Ipet-Isut", the place of perfection) and the village of Karnak. Do not miss the temples of Luxor (built by Amenophis III), Karnak, Ramses II and Hatshepsut and the tombs of the Valley of the Kings. The ideal visit is aboard a felucca gliding over the waters of the Nile.

Climate

The prevailing climate in Egypt can be summed up in two terms: hot and dry. The months of January, February and March can be quite cold in the northern part of Egypt. But apart from this cooler period of the year, the temperatures are around 20C on the Mediterranean side (maximum of 31C) and 28C in Aswan (maximum of 50C)

Geography

Located in the north of the African continent, Egypt has for neighbors Sudan, Libya, Israel and Palestine. The country has developed in length, on a North-South axis, on the banks of the Nile.
