Accommodation

The big cities have a myriad of modern hotels, mostly upscale, even international. In general, these establishments belong to international chains, and apply similar rates. Their staff was generally trained abroad. Groups usually stay at well-equipped tourist hotels. With the exception of higher establishments, beware of laundry services, especially for your fragile clothes.

But do not worry, you will not encounter such problems if you are confined to the main tourist areas.

On www.ctrip.com and www.elong.net, you can make your reservations for hotel rooms. However, you will get much better rates by negotiating directly at the counter of the selected establishment - especially in low season or in case of extended stay. It is up to you to make your choice !

Guest-houses

Guest houses in small towns, especially those located off the beaten track, offer cheap accommodation. You will find rooms with 2 or more beds, or dormitories, with showers and toilets.

Other accommodations

It is often difficult for a stranger to find accommodation outside hotels and guest-bags. However, some universities have decent and cheap housing. On the website www.hihostels.com, it is possible to book a room or dormitory bed in some hostels.
