Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, the Living One who never dies. It is He who determines the term of everything. Everything on this earth is destined to perish except His Face which will remain forever.
And may peace and salvation be upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
about which Allah-the Most High-said:
Relative and approximate translation: "In truth you will die and they will die too" S39 V30
The merit of scholars is immense, that is why Allah - the Most High - took them as witnesses to the greatest and most authentic witness beside His own testimony and that of the angels. Allah, the Most High, said:
Relative and approximate translation: "Allah so testifies that the angels and the gifted of science, that there is no divinity except Him ..." S3 V18
Allah, the Most High, has raised them in degrees, and they are the heirs of the prophets-pears and blessings of Allah upon them-they are the ones who have the best understanding of the words of Allah-the Most High- and these are those who have the greatest fear towards Allah - the Most High -:
Relative and approximate translation: "Among His servants, only scholars fear Allah" S35 V28
The disappearance of scholars ...
Allah, the Most High, said:
Relative and approximate translation: "Do they not see that We are hitting the earth and We are reducing it on all sides?" S13 V41.
Ibn 'Abbass said concerning this verse (as well as other Salefs):
"That is, by the death of his learned men, his lawyers, and good people. "
And as it says:
"The earth stays alive as long as scientists live,
And as soon as one of her scholars dies, it is a part of her that dies.
Just as the earth lives as long as there is rain,
And if it abstains, by its side comes ruin "
The guidance of the people is directly related to the presence of scholars, as the Prophet (Prayer and Blessing of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah does not take science by tearing people out of their hearts but He takes the science by taking up the souls of scientists, until there are no more scientists left. People will then take at their head ignorant people who will be questioned and who will answer without any science, then they will go astray and mislead the others "[1].
'Omar ibn' Abdel 'Aziz wrote to Abi Bakr bin Hazm: "Look (or summarize) what is part of the Hadith of the Prophet (Prayer and Blessing of Allah be upon him) and write them and accept only the Hadiths of the Prophet, because I am afraid that scientists will disappear. Spread this science and form assemblies until the ignorant is educated, because science will be lost only if it becomes a secret. "[2]
My brothers, my sisters, O people of "Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jama'a", the misfortune that struck us on Thursday, May 13 (27 Muharram) is not unknown to us. Indeed, it is about the death of one of the Imam of "Ahl as-Sunnah wal Jama'a" of our time, the Sheikh, the scholar, the jurist, the Mouhaddith, the reviver of the religion, the Pious ..., named Sheikh 'Abdel' Aziz ibn Baz - May Allah have mercy on him, have great mercy and let him live in His Paradise -
