The walrus is a large and large mammal become
aquatic. Its massive and tapered body is brown in color. It has two long ivory
tusks and long mustaches. The walrus is the only existing species. There are
two subspecies: Pacific walrus and Atlantic walrus.

Sexual Maturation: Females reach sexual maturity at

The female weighs between 565 and 830 kg, and the
males between 795 and 1,210 kg. The long tusks of males can weigh up to 6 kg.
Longevity: 40 years
Walruses are able to live for about forty years.
Speed: 35 km / h
The walrus swim on average at 7 km / h but can
reach 35 km / h when in danger. It happens to swim up to 250 km from the coast
and stay 200 m deep for 30 minutes in apnea. .

Food: The walrus feeds mainly on bivalve molluscs
