The lifespan of the bee is 45 days.

Bees give honey and wax

Bees are insects that live in a tree or in a hive also called a honeycomb. Fifty thousand bees can live in a single hive. With the wax they produce the bees make rays to store eggs and honey.

The bee is an insect that feeds on honey and pollen. They pollinate the flowers, and suck the nectar with their trunk. They use their forelegs to collect pollen, which they store in pollen sacs on the hind legs. They place their picking in a cell of the hive for it to be eaten or converted into honey.
The bee lives in well-organized colonies, where each has its own specific job. These colonies consist of queen bees, workers and drones. A bee lives about 45 days.

During this short time, she must clean the cells, feed the larvae, place the pollen and the nectar in the alveoli, ventilate the hive by flapping wings without stopping. She builds the combs with the beeswax that she makes, she also watches over the entrance of the hive so that no stranger gets into it.

When the bee finds food, she starts a dance to warn her companions. The drones can not feed themselves and they do not have stingers.
They are only used for reproduction. A few days after her birth the Queen flies away for a single time in her life, to be fertilized by a drone. The queen bee can lay 2,000 eggs a day, throughout her life which lasts about 4-5 years.

In winter they feed on honey from the hive to frost, then they become numb and sleep until spring. The bumblebees die because they are expelled from the beehive so that they do not have to feed them and are only used for breeding.

If a bee is threatened or the swarm of bees, they can sting the enemy with their sting. A bee sting is not dangerous except for those with allergies. When a bee approaches you, you have to stay calm and it will go away after a few seconds. Several bee stings can be more dangerous.

Honey has a different taste depending on the flowers that are pollinated. Honey producers move hives according to the kind of honey they want to get. Honey rose, bluet, clover etc .....
Hives must be transported at night so that bees do not realize they have changed places, otherwise they would run away from the hive and swarm elsewhere. Producers transport the beehives as far as Lac St-Jean so that the bees forage on blueberry flowers. They do the same for roses clover and any other kind of honey they want the bees to produce.

Beeswax is also used for many things such as candles and other products that honey producers sometimes offer in addition to honey from their bee farm. Florists often use swarms of natural bees to make flower arrangements. Honey, wax, honeycomb, pollinating flowers ... the bee is really a useful insect.

The lifespan of the bee is 45 days.
