Animals have different defenses

An animal must be able to defend itself to survive. Nature is made for the strongest and most cunning to survive. Some are predators and hunt prey that must defend themselves to avoid being eaten. Animals have several different ways to avoid becoming the next meal, but this one is not always good for all predators.

The first thing is of course camouflage. If one is well camouflaged, it is possible not to be noticed. Camouflage is effective as long as the animal does not move, move and is uncovered. Birds like partridges are hard to see because of the color of their feathers that allows them to hide. There are insects that look like a branch, a leaf, some bark ... and allow them not to be discovered.
Another defense for animals is the smell. The skunk is a good example of the deterrent power of a bad smell. A nauseating odor can keep enemies away but also attract those who are not repelled by it.

The birds fly to save themselves from a predatory animal. A bird will ignore the presence of another animal as long as it is farther than the distance it considers safe. As soon as the intruder approaches the distance he needs to escape, the bird flies away.

The carapace is a good way for turtles and armadillos to defend themselves from attacks. The turtle between his head, his legs and his tail sheltered inside his carapace and waits for the junk to go away. The armadillo curls up and only the hard parts of his body are exposed. The strength of their shell will outsmart all predators.

Some have strong quills like sea urchins and can only be attacked from below. Others have hairs that have the same function as for the hedgehog. The hedgehog curls up to become like a ball of needles. The hairs will sting the attacker and those who enter the skin of his enemies and will stay there.

Some lizards hit the junk with their tails, the horses rush and hit with their hooves, the goats use their horns and the elephants can hit their enemies with their tusks. Many animals rush or strike with one of their members to surprise, injure or kill an enemy.

Teeth and claws are for piercing and cutting the skin of prey or attacking predators. A bite is dangerous during, but also after a battle because the infection can settle. The bites are inflicted by the majority of animals to hunt or defend, those who have claws like felines will naturally use them.

Snakes bite to feed or defend themselves. The bite is painful, but it is often the venom it injects that is most dangerous. Some insects and spiders, like the black widow for example, have very powerful venoms.

An animal that is hunted down will have to defend itself with the means it has. If he can not save it, he will bite to scratch in order to defend himself and escape. If his defense is foiled by the predator, he will try everything in his power to defend himself. If you see a wild animal, be careful not to make him feel he is in danger or he will attack you.
