The ABYSSIN
Physical description
The Abyssinian is a breed of cat. It takes its name from Abyssinia, because the first Abyssinian to be introduced in Europe came from this country (now called Egypt). It is also called "cat rabbit" (bunny cat).

He has a medium-sized body, with a weight ranging between 3.6 and 5.4 kg. Its head is triangular in shape, with large ears looking forward. His eyes are hazel or green in color. He has long legs, thin and muscular. His feet are small and oval in shape, giving the appearance that he walks on tiptoe. Its tail is long and thick at the base, but it tapers towards the end.

It has short fur fur, each having at least two colors throughout their length. This characteristic of his hair is called ticking. But one level of the belly, the chest, the neck and the inside of the legs, the dress is of uniform color, and on the head one can observe stripes.
His place of life
The Abyssinian originates from Asia, from where he was introduced to Europe, then to America. It is a domestic cat, very popular in North America.
His diet
Like all felines, the Abyssinian has a carnivorous diet, consisting of meat and fish. Since it is a domesticated cat, it also feeds on dry food, in the form of croquettes.
His reproduction
It is from the age of 8 months that the Abyssinian is able to reproduce. The female carries the kittens for about 2 months and calves at most three kittens per litter. The ticking of the kitten will appear only from six weeks, to take its final appearance after a year, even a year and a half.
His life expectancy
The Abyssinian can live up to 16 years.
The cry of the Abyssinian
Of course, like all cats, the abyssin meows!
Particular signs
Unlike other cats, the Abyssinian loves water. He even turns out to be a pretty good swimmer.
