the pig

The domestic pig or dwarf pig is an omnivorous mammal of the porcine family. The dwarf pig is the result of many crosses between different breeds of pigs from Vietnam and South East Asia. Cracking with its small snout, its small pointed ears and its paunchy belly, the dwarf pig still measures from 35 to 55 cm and weighs from 35 to 60 kg at the adulthood (3 years).

Characteristics

The dwarf pig has short pointed ears, the tail is straight with a small feather duster at the end (no corkscrew tail). Her dress can be black, pink (or white because of the hairs), gray or brown, united or with spots.

Living conditions

The dwarf pig is not a pet of any kind. Care and nutrition

The pig needs specific care (trimming of feet, defenses, sterilization before 6 months, vaccines, deworming).

Although the pig is an omnivorous animal, and contrary to popular belief, its diet should be monitored. Indeed, to stay healthy, and not become obese, the pig must consume pellets for dwarf pigs available in specialized distributors. However, breeding pigs can also be suitable for their needs. In addition to these pellets, the pig likes hay, vegetables and fresh fruits and of course water. These are the conditions to ensure the well-being of this little creature.
