SEE EVERY MOMENT
One of the easy things to do in our modern life is to slow down.
But the challenge is how! One of the answers is already accepting to say
"no". We are so afraid to miss some things that we miss everything,
accepting everything! Because when I'm in a hurry and try to do as much things
as possible in the shortest possible time, I miss everything. The second tip to
follow is to focus on what you do. A telling example: when we are with friends
and we spend our time looking at our text messages and emails on our phone, or
when we are driving and we are tempted to answer the phone, the best thing to
do is really turning off this phone and focusing on the present moment. There
is a very nice book called "Praise of Slowness", it talks about the
importance of slowing down, when we eat, when we make love, when we talk with
friends or just when we go out to walk .
RESPECT YOUR BODY
I adopted the "Okinawa" method, named after the Japanese
archipelago. Okinawa is the place in the world where people live the longest.
One of the secrets of longevity lies in really eating healthy. Just before
going to dinner, they make a little prayer: "Stop when you are 80%
satisfied". I told this to my sister and my brother-in-law. On vacation, they
went to dinner in a very good restaurant and on leaving, he called me saying:

seriously, the idea is not to overeat. To remember, you can wear a bracelet or
cotton thread on your wrist as a signal to remember your goal. Some of the
ideas in the book are very simple: of course, it's important to slow down, to
be able to breathe, not to eat inconsiderately, to be polite, but even if these
things are easy to understand, they are not easy to apply. We often forget a
discussion or what is good for us. The presence of the bracelet on our wrist,
without being too apparent, allows us to remember.

The people who will express gratitude for everything and nothing -
see the Eiffel Tower, have a good time with friends, enjoy a good meal, a
valuable discussion - see their immune system strengthened. Our thoughts have
an influence on our body. Even if you do not feel well, simulate a smile and
you will see that this emotion will become real. With the simple act of
smiling, you will feel more positivity and energy. And if you release positive
energy, you attract positive energy. Another example ? I can feel very tired
and start dancing. Little by little, I will realize that I will get better: how
our body can also influence our thoughts, our morale!
NEVER ENTER YOUR DREAMS!
Every human being has the
ability to dream, that's what makes us different from animals. And if one ever
ignores one's dreams, one deprives oneself of an opportunity to be happy. Dreams
are really the engine to get better, even when times are tough. At the same
time, it is very important to be present, and not always looking to the future.
One of the keys to happiness is therefore the ability to combine the two: at
the same time, to be in the present, to live it intensely, and to allow oneself
to have dreams.
