Diving in the Red Sea, the underwater paradise

Considered one of the underwater paradises of the globe, the Red Sea offers European divers "tropical" dives accessible to everyone. This sea is home to stunning coral reefs with exuberant and dense underwater life. The bottoms teem with life and colors. The Red Sea is one of the best diving destinations in the world, whether for stays or diving cruises. The dives make you fly in weightlessness in the middle of an enchanted garden as the corals are so lively and varied. For your diving holidays in the Red Sea, Subocea offers diving stays and cruises in 3 countries: Egypt, Sudan and Djibouti.

Diving in the North of the Red Sea: With El Gouna, Safaga and Hurghada, the North of the Red Sea is very well equipped and ideal for coming with the family, non-divers will also find something to occupy their days there. Also go on a diving cruise to explore the most beautiful sites of the Red Sea. With the program, exceptional drop-offs, magnificent corals preserved in the heart of Ras Mohamed, a national park whose crystal clear waters conceal coral reefs sheltering a multitude of species of vertebrates and invertebrates. You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the most beautiful wrecks in the world, the famous Thistlegorm, a British merchant navy cargo ship bombed in 1941 during its 4th voyage. It has since rested at a depth of 30 m. The Rosalie Moller, its twin, also sunk in October 1941, accessible to more experienced divers, lies at a depth of 55 m.

Diving in the heart of the Red Sea in Egypt: The heart of the Red Sea, which you travel through on a cruise and with a certain aquatic agility during a Golden Triangle cruise, is impressively pelagic. We can hope to come across the majestic thresher shark, but also schools of hammerhead sharks and other curious longimanus.

Diving south of the Egyptian Red Sea: Less touristy, the south is more dedicated to divers, especially in the ecolodges in Marsa Shagra, Marsa Nakari and further south: Wadi Lahami. In Marsa Alam and Wadi Gimal, everyone can find what they are looking for!

Diving in Sudan on a cruise: Even further south, Sudan, which is only offered on a cruise, is dedicated to experienced divers. With in the north the sites of Abington, Merlo and Angarosh, in the center, the famous Sanganeb and Sha'ab Rumi and in the south, the Suakin archipelago and its very little frequented dives. There is something to amaze more than one diver. And when you add a world famous wreck, the Umbria and a step back in time with Pré Continent 2, the picture is perfect. A destination increasingly popular with divers, as it holds many surprises. The Sudanese Red Sea is one of the richest waters on the planet in terms of underwater biodiversity. On the various diving spots, you will find breathtaking pelagic fauna, humpback parrotfish, schools of jacks and barracudas, sometimes manta rays and the star of the area, the scalloped hammerhead shark, all on intact coral reefs . Finally, at the meeting point of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, it is Djibouti that we offer. This last diving destination is also available as a cruise during which you will dive on Moucha and Maskali, the two paradise islands off the coast of Djibouti in the Gulf of Tadjourah. These islands are famous for the turquoise of their lagoon, their varied fauna and their wrecks. For a few weeks of winter, it is the encounter with the whale shark that will be the highlight of your diving trip in the Red Sea.
