Egypt and its imposing pyramids

This country is not to be missed among other things for its three large and impressive pyramids of Giza in the middle of the city: Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. The blocks of granite composing them are so huge that even today, one wonders how they went about making them.

When I visited Egypt, we had a private tour guide and I was with my daughter. We were lucky enough to enter the pyramid of Chephren to get to the tomb in the center of it. To start, we had to enter a small passage and from there, we began to descend like a “little guy”. People had to go down and up all the time, so imagine

you the photo: me who has trouble breathing and my daughter who is starting to panic in the tunnel. At one point there was a small space where we had the chance to straighten up. From there, I regained control of my breathing and my daughter was like, "MOM we're out of here!" If I keep walking to get to the tomb, I'm the one who's going to die! “So we went back the same way to get out all soaked, because it was very hot, for not even having had the chance to see the famous tomb. At the exit, our guide was waiting for us with bottles of water, she told us that to do this job in Egypt, you have to do 4 years of University and often, the teachers do their courses inside a pyramid.

After visiting the pyramids, we embarked on camels to go to the Sphinx through the desert. My daughter was on a camel who was not in a very good mood and the trip lasted about 1h30. Arrived at the Sphinx, I was disappointed with the size of it. It seemed so big to me in Asterix and Obelix, but to be honest with you, compared to the pyramids, it's small.

One of the places to visit at all costs is the Cairo Museum. With all its tombs and sarcophagi as well as the many jewels found in the pyramids, you could spend whole days visiting it. It is located in the city of Cairo, which is very dirty, and which in 2006 had a population of over 7 million.

There are also the catacombs and the city of Alexandria to explore. In short, I did not have the chance to spend much time there, only 3 days, but it is a 3 days that I will never forget.
