Does Double Strike blocking work?

Double hit means the creature deals both first strike damage and normal combat damage. Whether it's blocked or not. Note, however, that a creature blocked with a double strike deals no damage to the player even if the first strike damage kills the blocker (unless it has trample).

Does Deathtouch kill a planeswalker?

Deathtouch destroys creatures, dealing 1 point of damage. Planeswalkers aren't creatures, so they aren't affected by deathtouch.

Does Veil remove auras?

No, Veil does not remove auras.

Can you cast an aura without a target?

2 answers. Aura spells (i.e. cards cast from your hand and added to the stack) require a target. It's a shame that these are the only spells that target, with no "target" in the rules text.

Does protection cause auras to drop?

Auras aren't prevented by Spectra Ward's protection from enchanting the protected permanent. 702.16m Some Auras grant protection to the enchanted creature and say "this effect does not remove" either that specific Aura or all Auras. Colored Auras already attached to the permanent don't fall off.

Do enchantments with protection drop?

Yes, enchantments drop when you gain protection of that color. In your example, however, the creature would be exiled if it's the target before the spell resolves. To answer the spirit of your question, yes, giving a creature protection from white would cause a white aura to "fall" onto that creature.

What does MTG protection first mean?

Protection from All means that Progenitus can't be blocked, Progenitus can't be enchanted or equipped, Progenitus can't be the target of spells or abilities, and any damage that would be dealt to Progenitus is prevented.

How do you kill a creature with protection from everything?

Protection from all means a creature can't be blocked, take damage from any source, or be targeted by spells and abilities. Board wipes like Wrath of God or Day of Judgment will remove the creature as they don't target it directly.

Can Progenitus be banned?

You cannot exile Progenitus or True-Name Nemesis. Shield from all has a specific meaning in the rules: 702.16j Shield from all is a variant of the shield ability. A permanent with protection first has protection against any object, regardless of that object's characteristic stats.

How do you meet Progenitus?

Yes. First, as always, protection only stops four things (damage, enchant/equip, block, aim), and Cranial Extraction does none of that for Progenitus. Second, and more importantly, protection does nothing while the card is in play. Yes, that means you can also counter Progenitus.
