This module provides the sources of sciences interpretation, as it helps students to take sources of interpretation and utilization the interpretation of the al-Qur`an. This module important especially for post graduate students.

9.             Objectives:
       To know the five sources of Tafsir: the Holy Quran, the Sunnah, the statement of the companions and the followers, Arabic language, and opinion.
       To know the standard agreed upon  rules in explaining Quran by Quran, illustrating the inclusive  verses, constraining the  unbounded verses, specifying the general, the explicit meaning and the implied meaning, the readings of Quran, the reliability of the Sunnah and  how it illustrates Quran ( specifying the general ,constraining  the unbounded, illustrating the inclusiveness) , explaining by what has been repeatedly  stated by the companions and  the followers and the conditions of this type of  tafsir, explaining by opinion and the scholars’ attitude toward it.
       To figure out the strong relation between the explanation of Quran and Arabic language, review the given Arabic dictionaries, know their characteristics and the methodology of their authors.
أهداف المادة:
       أن يعرف الطالب مصادر التفسير الخمسة المعتمدة: القرآن الكريم، السنة النبوية، أقوال الصحابة والتابعين، اللغة العربية، الرأي.
       أن يتعرّف على القواعد المعتمدة في تفسير القرآن بالقرآن (بيان المجمل، تقييد المطلق، تخصيص العام، المنطوق والمفهوم، القراءات)، و حجِّية السّنة ووجوه بيانها للقرآن (تخصيص العام، تقييد المطلق، بيان المجمل)، والتفسير بالمأثور عن الصحابة والتابعين وشروطه، والتفسير بالرأي وموقف العلماء منه.
       أن يتبيّن الصلة الوثيقة بين تفسير القرآن واللغة العربية، ويطّلع على المعاجم العربية الموضوعة، وخصائصها، ومناهج أصحابها
       
10.           Learning outcomes:
       
After completing this subject, the student will be able to:
       Mention the reliable standard sources of the explanation of Quran, define them, and illustrate their importance in explaining Quran.
       Point out the agreed upon  standard rules in explaining Quran by Quran, illustrating  the ways by which  the Sunnah explains Quran, pointing out the importance of considering the statements that are repeatedly mentioned by the companions and the followers, and be cautious about what should be avoided when explaining Quran  by opinion.
       To deepen his/her understanding of the Holy Quran, following the right methodology in relying upon the repeatedly stated in the Sunnah , by the companions and the followers, avoiding the Israelites, and  making use of the standard Arabic dictionaries  that are free from  the distortion of  the Jesuits.

في نهاية دراسة هذه المادّة يكون الطالب قادراً على أنْ:
       يذكر مصادر التفسير المعتمدة، ويعرّفها ويبيِّن أهمِّيتها في تفسير القرآن الكريم.
       أن يوضِّح القواعد المعتمدة في تفسير القرآن بالقرآن، ووجوه بيان السنة للقرآن الكريم، ويبرز أهمية اعتبار المأثور عن الصحابة والتابعين، ويحذِّر مما يجب اجتنابه في التفسير بالرأي.
       يُعمِّق فهمه للقرآن الكريم، متبعاً المنهج السليم في الاعتماد على المأثور من السُّنة وأقوال الصحابة والتابعين، متجنباً الإسرائيليات، مستعيناً بالمعاجم المعتبرة في اللغة الخالية من دس اليسوعيين.

       Be aware of sources of Qur`an explanation and its significance in ex[lanation of al-Qur`an.
       Have the ability to use and apply sources of al-Qur`an explanation in the interpretation of al-Qur`an.
       Developing the skill that is necessary for communicating with society to explain the interpretation of al-Qur`an based on various sources.

13.           Synopsis:
Pointing out the importance of knowing the sources of Tafsir: first: The Holy Quran. Second: The Holy Prophetic Hadith .Third: the statements of the companions and the followers in Tafsir. Fourth: Arabic Language. Fifth: Comprehension and pondering (the opinion). Reviewing the references and the helping books.
