معلومات عن الحشرات الضارة
The Culicidae, called mosquitoes1, or even mosquitoes2, form a family of insects called Culicidae. They are classified in order of Diptera and suborder Nematoceras and are characterized by long and fine antennae with multiple articles, wings with scales, and females with long buccal parts in the form of a rigid proboscis of the type piercing and sucking. To date, 3,546 species of mosquitoes in 111 genera have been inventoried globally3 but a much smaller number of humans have been identified.
Mosquitoes have a role in ecosystems but above all in human and animal epidemiology because, besides being a source of nuisance by the bites they inflict, they are the most important group of vectors of pathogens transmissible to the being including zoonotic diseases4. They are vectors of three groups of human pathogens: Plasmodium, wired as well as many arboviruses.
They are present on all the Earth's land (except Antarctica), in forest, savannah or urban environments, as soon as a surface of fresh or brackish water, even reduced or is available

Culex defines a genus of mosquitoes in which several species are important vectors such as West Nile fever (West Nile fever), St. Louis encephalitis, filariasis (Culex quinquefasciatus), Japanese encephalitis (C. spp. ), Murray Valley encephalitis (MVEV) (C. annulirostris) and avian malaria (Culex pipiens).

The postspiracular bristles are absent. Female claws are simple. The abdomen of the female has its obtuse apex. Pulvilli are present at the tip of the legs, which is characteristic of the genus Culex. The palpi of the male are often slender and turned upwards.
Life cycle
The development cycle takes two weeks.

Eggs are laid in groups ("nacelles"), in all types of water, often rich in organic matter.
