The importance of the family according to Islam

Islam attaches great importance to the family. For it is the first place of formation which supplies the nation with honest individuals and educates a healthy generation.

Man's childhood life is often a reflection of his family life, the atmosphere within him, the way he is treated there and the behavior we have towards him.

The child, for example, who is given inordinate attention, who is preferred, who receives preferential treatment and who is pampered, will eventually become a selfish and dependent on others, having grown up nurturing a sense of superiority.

If, on the contrary, the child has been humiliated, despised or his brothers and sisters are preferred, he will maintain a feeling of inferiority and will come to hate others in general.

The family, and more particularly the behavior of the father, therefore has a great deal of responsibility in determining the child's future.

If he is treated with respect, confidence will be born in him and he will have a strong personality, will be endowed with a strong character and a determined spirit from which the sources of creation and genius can spring.

It is through the way his parents and others will behave towards him that he will discover himself, understand his abilities and what he is good at; It is again through his relationships with them that he will know that she is his value, will constitute his own personality and choose his behaviors.

Islam has been particularly concerned with the education of the child and in particular how to behave towards him.

The Prophet (P) indeed said: "Love your children and treat them with compassion".
