يستخدم الماضي التام للتعبير عن حدث وقع في الماضي البعيد 
past X future Form : had + P.P.(past participle) التصريف الثالث للفعل

ويستخدم أيضا إذا كان هناك حدثين حدثا في الماضي ...ووقع أحدهما قبل الآخر
