The horse is a domesticated animal since antiquity. He was much used as a war animal and transport. It has thus allowed the birth of civilizations over large spaces and favored the commercial exchanges.

The horse is often considered the most important animal in the history of mankind.

Currently the horse is found in a variety of activities such as agriculture, or transportation in some countries; but also in recreation and sport. This animal is also a source of food.

The weight of the adult horse is about 500kg, it can reach 1200kg (for some draft horses). The lifespan of this animal is between 20 and 30 years. The color of the horse (with the hair) is called the dress. These dresses are a means of identification, their name depends on a classification.

The horse is made up of four limbs: four legs that end with one foot. Its members are used in a certain order, it allows to characterize the different ways of moving it, it's called paces. They are classified into three categories: natural (not, trot, gallop ...), artificial (acquired by training: not Spanish ...), defective (to compensate for pain ...).

The horse is an herbivorous animal that in nature feeds on grass; in the stables are cereals and industrial compound foods that serve as food for the animal. The horse can spend up to 16 hours a day feeding. This is due to his small stomach and low energy foods.

In the wild horses live in herds consisting of about ten individuals: a stallion, three or four mares, and their young until the age of three.
